Custom portraiture is truly one of the greatest investments you can make. The images captured from your session will be treasured and displayed by your family for many generations. My goal as your photographer is to capture the essence of your family or child. It is something that should be well thought out before hand. Some things to think about prior to your session:
What vision do you have for your portraits?
Have you viewed my portfolio to get a feel for my style of photography and does this style fit in with your vision?
Where will your portraits hang?
Session Fee covers time and talent, proof processing and presentation.

Your Session:
Most sessions take place on location and newborn sessions take place at my studio. The on-location sessions are my favorite and are very popular. This is also typically the look for my family portraits. My goal is for your session to be relaxed and fun. Some of the best images are with the sweet "almost" smile or the ones where the mom says " I know that look".
Generally sessions last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on ages and what we are doing. Newborn sessions take between 2-4 hours.
What should we wear?
Clothing is a very important part of your children's, senior's or families pictures.
It is important to stay true to your style, but I aso have some suggestions which can help the overall outcome of your portraits.
For children - rich bright colors, texures (cordoroy, jean, buttons, ruffles, knit, chunky sweaters) and layered clothing (jackets, scarfs, leggings) always looks nice for the finished picture, they both allow for depth and interest. I LOVE hats on both boys and girls and have a few at the studio for you. I always love a cute pair of shoes and then some bare feet too.
For families- I love the look of complimentary colors, nothing too matching . Dark Jeans and khakis are always a nice choice for bottoms. Textures and layers also work very well for families. I like the final image to be colorful, fun and classic.
Accessories are my favorite accent to a photograph. Hats, scarves, fun necklaces, funky boots, tights, etc. really can make a photograph more interesting.

Pictures will be available for viewing 2 weeks after your session.
Portraits can be viewed online on my website.
Because of the amount of work stored on my computer, your files will be archived soon after you order. There will be a $30 to pull your images from the archives.
Your finished portraits will be ready approximately 2 weeks after ordering.
